Breaking down the 2023 NFL Team Hashtags for this season on X (formally and still known as Twitter) and other social media platforms.
We’ll dive into the NFL team hashtags that have the team logo automatically generated. We’ll share with you the hashtags that are associated with each team and how those team hashtags are used.
I used the NFL team hashtag, but there’s no logo
Until last week, some of these hashtags were deactivated as far as the team logo is concerned, but they are all operational as we head into week 5 of the season. Better late than never I suppose.
You’ll notice that during the offseason, the logos are removed from Twitter/X. Sometimes, teams transition to a new hashtag for the following season, so be sure you’re using the up to date ones listed below!

This is how the hashtag and automatically generated team logo will look when you use the official 2023 NFL team hashtag in any tweet.
NFL TEAM HASHTAG BEST PRACTICES
In addition to the official 2023 NFL team hashtags you’re using for social media content, it is good practice to include the hashtag of the team’s current/upcoming matchup at the bottom of the post.
Example: You’re publishing a tweet about the Detroit Lions. Their next game is at the Panters, you can include #DETvsCAR. Put additional hashtags at the very bottom of your tweet or other social content to not distract the reader. If your post includes a link that you’re promoting, be sure to include any hashtags after your link and not before.

AFC TEAM HASHTAGS
Buffalo Bills — #BillsMafia is still the logo hashtag on Twitter. The official team profile also uses #GoBills.
Baltimore Ravens — #RavensFlock
Cleveland Browns — The Browns moved from #Browns back to #DawgPound for their logo hashtag this season.
Cincinnati Bengals — #RuleTheJungle is still the official hashtag, but they’ve changed from the logo to a tiger emoji. The team doesn’t appear to utilize hashtags other than the current matchup, but they get the format wrong by using “at” instead of “vs”…don’t do that if you want people to discover your content.
Denver Broncos — #BroncosCountry
Houston Texans — #WeAreTexans
Jacksonville Jaguars — #DUUUVAL

Green Bay Packers — The official team hashtag is #GoPackGo, but the team uses #Packers as well.
Los Angeles Rams — #RamsHouse

San Francisco 49ers — The official team logo hashtag is #FTTB and the team/fans also use the #49ers hashtag in their content.
Seattle Seahawks — The team hashtag is #Seahawks, but the official team profile uses #GoHawks in most of their content. They also moved from the 12 to the helmet Seahawk logo.
